Rakan Ji in Kasai City is a temple belonging Tendai Tantric Denomination, Main altar is Baisajayaguru, but every tourist find "Koshindo" easier rather than Baisajaguru Hall.
"Koshindo" has the altar of "Sshomen-kongo" means usually "blue face wisdom king".
This buddhism guardian has unknown roots. Many scholar has various explanation, but they are not decisive.
I suppose each local people practice without certain theorogy, so it is based syncretism of the ancient Chinese "Three corpses", native religion "Doso-jin" and probably Hindu.

here is "Koshin-do"
Strangely, That board shows this hall is altar of Shomen-kongo "Ryuou", but not Shomen-kongo "Myôo". "Ryuou" means Dragon King, but "Myoo" means Wisdom King. They are very different character. Did priest make error in spelling? I'm not sure. However, it means "Koshin" isn't united by major denomination. Additionally, Dragon Kings sometimes relate Hindu Vishnu, or Kundali in Shaktism. In Japanese Tantric Denomination, Kundali is symblolized "Gundari Myôo".

This is "Doso-jin" near Koshin-do. If you know Hindu religion and culture, you may notice the pedestal is "Yoni". Probably this pedestal in't so old and it may be just stone pitcher(I don't think so). However priest think Doso-jin and Yoni-Lingam has some relations. Adds, Doso-jin often looks genitalias of male and female or their figure embarass each other in other local regions.
